So, why I'll write in english being spanish my mother tongue?

Me temo que este año puedo ir olvidándome de que Reverte me invite a su cumpleaños 😗

I could try to look cool and tell you that I want to maximize reach and improve my english writing skills at the same time, but in fact I wanted to write every article in both languages.
But after some research, I conclude that medium is not a platform multilingual friendly.

First of all, I’m unable to find almost anything in any other language than english using the internal search tool. From a google search, and forcing site:medium.com, I can find some, but is very difficult to just find them with the regular expected use of the site.

The tag system isn’t friendly too, as it is the categories. It feel laking anyway, as I don’t see how can I add more, or translate them, in an easy way.

I’ve to say that this feels kind of like a statement: when a site is multilanguage friendly, or even have customization as a main scope, they promote it right away. Is a costly improvement that deserves to be promoted.
Instead medium looks like focus on minimalism, and multilanguage is one of the improvement discarded to attain it.

But, let’s think about those who may follow my blog: they will receive a notification for every article, in both languages.
This is very annoying from a reader perspective, and I’ll avoid it even if I have to abstain from writing in spanish.
Maybe I’ll just add a footer to every article announcing that I’ll reply in spanish to any spanish comment.
